"The real thing"
Email received December 7, 2002
There is no doubt in my mind that these are the real thing. The
black one came first and the white one next. The white cat painting was
selected as the model for the print. The detail which you have provided is
fully convincing. I am truly amazed that the carver was able to carve such
a key block with appropriate color blocks, and that the printer was able to
print it so well. Good for you! Only one detail did they miss. The tip of
the cat's tail was shortened in the print so that it looks as if it had
been dipped in paint. The painting has a slightly longer tail and looks as
if it is lying partly in shadow as it should to explain the color change.
